The Last of May

I need to get back to the things I said I would do. I need to hold myself accountable.

Mostly ROM Sketches

Hurray for more horrible presentation! Seriously, I need to start caring. When I do, however, I will be ditching Blogger for Tumblr. For now, whoever happens to look at this page can simply be happy that I posted. Well, I suppose you could be sad or angry with me for posting, as my art could offend your eyes. Oh well! La dee da!

I made an error in the previous post. The last drawing of the three was done on May 26, 2014, not May 25, 2014.

More Faces

For a while, I caved into my instinct to avoid drawing, so I don't have much to show for this post. Time to rectify that! I'm going to go outside and draw! It's simply gorgeous outside. Toodles!

Small Update

Here is the last page in my sketchbook. Yes, I ripped out even more pages. I’m just replacing the erasing with an even worse habit. Actually, I haven’t completely stopped using my eraser. That being said, I do reach for it less.

As you may have notice, I didn’t do the Sketch Dailies everyday. Some days got away from me, but I still want to participate, so I will draw for it when I can. I may go back and do some of the previous topics as well. Some of them sounded really fun!

I Moose Be Dreaming

When it comes to my artwork, I am afraid to leave major mistakes out in the open for people to see. Sometimes, I manage to work up the courage to show my flaws to another artist or to a friend, but it is much more difficult to leave my shortcomings on the internet for everyone else to analyze at their leisure. I know most people don't even look at this blog, let alone come back to it, but still, the fear remains. I tare out pages in my sketchbook regularly. You can hardly call it a sketchbook anymore. It has very few pages left in it. So few in fact, that I'm almost finished it. In the future I may draw on loose paper and then compile it in a binder. Or, I may attempt to hold myself accountable, and buy a sketchbook that's pages can't easily be torn. We shall see.

Oh, that weird horse-like creature and the dentures were doodled by the lovely Elisa. We were being odd. What else is new?

Starting Sketch Dailies

I told myself that I would create drawings based off of the topics given by the Sketch Dailies account on Twitter this week. This Monday's topic was Little Bo Peep. I did draw her, but I'm not so sure I'm brave enough to post it on Twitter. I'd like to work on her more. And definitely that sheep. That sheep needs some serious help. But, it will just have to wait because Tuesday has a new topic and I haven't started it yet.

Facing Fears

I know I definitely still need work, but I'm happy that I am forcing myself to draw these hands and feet. I can't avoid everything that I find difficult. If I do that, I'll never get anywhere. Now, I need to draw the skeleton versions of these, which is something I've tried to steer clear of in the past.
