Goodbye Sketchbook

My sketchbook came unbound. It would be too much of a pain to put back together, so I won't. I wanted this to be the first sketchbook that I would actually fill, but now that will not come to be. Ah well, it will be nice to start over and take better care with things.

There are two bear drawings here. Please, ignore the first. I left my eraser behind so I kept going over and over things until it was a huge mess. There were major problems with the gesture itself so I don't know why I kept going. Eventually, I had enough common sense to move on. The second bear was me attempting to redeem myself. I don't love it, but it's way better than the first. It doesn't have me wanting to tear it into a million shreds like it's predecessor. Exactly how many bad drawings does it take for someone to become proficient again? Haha....

More Sketching in Ink

Working with pen isn't all that bad. It truly isn't as painful as I thought it would be.

Pen Drawings?!

I drew in pen! Ha! I'm totally living on the edge here. I must thank Elisa for lending me one of hers. Not only did she get me to draw in pen, she also got me to draw during service this Sunday. Yes, drawing in church. What a rebel. I drew our Pastor while he was discussing Romans 7. I know. What shocking thing will I do next?

The Latest

Here we go. The latest in my sketchbook. I don't love these, but I had a lot of fun doing them as I spent the time with friends at the mall, at the museum, and at various coffee shops. Definitely need to make this a regular thing. Good friends always help to motivate me.

I need to experiment more. When I do my hand and feet studies maybe I'll play around with some colour....How adventuresome of me!

Warming Up

Attempting some sketches this morning of various faces. Next, I believe I will work on hands and feet. I don't particularly want to work on hands and feet, but I will. Lord knows I need practice with those.

Not Fixing a Thing

What we have here is my first experiments with my tablet. I really have no idea what I am doing, but it's fun. I was going to play around with these more and clean them up, but quite frankly, I just want to draw something else. These images were "completed" November 17, 2013.
